It poured rain so we poured ourselves into the open-sided wedding platform at Stonehurst Cedar Creek while a string duo kept the mood upbeat.
Bronwen walked down the aisle in her beautiful boho dress and headpiece to ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ ?
All the couples’ nieces and nephews from the littlest to the eldest were given a role in the ceremony. Bronwen’s niece, Jessica, age 11 read a poem called I DO which the couple found on Good Witch Season 3 Finale. And Bronwen’s nephew, Isaac, age 13 read The One by CJ Barclay.
In a nod to Indigenous wisdom and tradition, all the guests pointed down to Mother Earth and in the direction of the four winds: north, south, east and west with the intention to unite the couple spiritually in front of the universe.
Michael & Bronwen read some wonderful heart-felt personalised vows that had everyone laughing and crying. They placed a copy of their vows in a box with a nice bottle of wine to be opened on their 1st anniversary.
Then they signed on each other’s backs to make it official ✒️
And in between all of that, I did a bit of talking!
Getting you to stick your ring finger out to the guests has kind of become my signature move. It’s about announcing to the world that you are MARRIED AF!
It doesn’t seem to matter how traditional or non-traditional the couple or their guests are……… it always goes down a treat!
And makes a great photo to boot!
It’s a good sign when the celebrant and the couple are all smiles AFTER the ceremony.
THINK ABOUT THAT.
When a couple books a celebrant for their wedding, it’s a bit of a leap of faith. They trust them to do a good job but ultimately the couple won’t know until AFTER the ceremony if their intuition was right and they’ve made a good choice.

Bronwyn + Michael wrote me this beautiful review. Google thought it was fake and removed it. It took me 3 years to get it reinstated!
‘When we met Julie at the Stonehurst Cedar Creek wedding open day, we knew she was the right choice for us, and that intuition didn’t let us down. She is a true gem and a complete professional when it comes to ceremonies. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, and what we wanted for our ceremony. Her resources were extensive and so helpful in guiding our agenda, writing our vows, and other unique ideas that we could include to make the ceremony special and reflective of us. Julie was amazing on the day. Not only did she calm the nerves of the bride who was a little overwhelmed with the bad weather and subsequent last minute change of plans, she was engaging, energetic, and warm, providing a ceremony that was joyful, fun, and captured the essence of us. There were a few little hiccups (not of her making!) that no one would have noticed because of her ability to keep things moving and flowing. We felt completely at ease knowing that Julie had everything covered. Despite the rain, Julie had us all smiling and laughing. Post-wedding, she looked after all the necessary marriage certificates (so we could go off and enjoy our honeymoon without worrying about the admin) and her resources even extended to helping with the bride’s change of name. We cannot recommend Julie highly enough. Her experience and gently guiding hand gave us a ceremony that we were delighted with and still fondly talk about.’
