Peppers Creek Chapel & Barrell Room boasts this wickedly long (aka best) aisle in the Hunter Valley so I met the bride Kylee and her crew out of view at the top of the aisle to impart some last-minute pearls of wisdom like relax, be yourselves and let’s soak it all in.
So much good stuff happens in the 5 mins before the ceremony starts and the 5 mins after- It’s one of my favourite parts of the day.
After that little pow-wow, I strolled back down the aisle, revving up the crowd with my spiel. Had to remind them they’re not just spectators; they’re part of the whole shebang. Tossed out my first joke to gauge the vibe, and when the laughs hit hard, I knew we were in for one heck of a day. Then, of course, I threw back a shot of whiskey with Matt, and the crowd ate up our antics.
The flower girl and Junior Bridesmaid nailed the cute-and-sassy brief, covering not just the chapel floor but giving Matt a petal shower. And their job didn’t end there – post-ceremony, they led the bubble brigade, turning the couple into a bubble wonderland with their bubble guns.
Before the bridesmaids took their spots, they wrapped Matt in some real-deal warm hugs, and you could tell it did wonders for his nerves. When Matt saw Kylee, cue the waterworks – it was a beautiful, heartstring-tugging moment.
Next up, the father of the bride stepped in for a hug with his daughter, hitting us right in the feels. The groom shook his hand and it quickly turned into a bear hug because, hey, it just felt right. The tears were flowing from more than just the bride and groom – the emotion got to a few other guests, and even I had a happy tear in my eye.
So, there I stood, ready to ride that wave of good vibes through the rest of the ceremony. Because in those shared tears, hugs, and all the feels, you find the heart and soul of the day – a mix of love, joy, and the kind of magic that makes weddings unforgettable.
What’s going on here you might ask?
A Photo Minute 📷🤳
Kylee + Matt decided to go all-in for an unplugged ceremony. They wanted to keep everyone in the moment, soaking in the magic without getting too snap-happy.
But they aren’t heartless – they knew some guests would have that inevitable urge to capture a photo of them all dressed up.
Instead of having the Photo Minute near the start when nerves were still high, we threw it in right after sealing the deal with a kiss. Those vibes were sky-high🚀 This added an extra layer of surprise and delight.
For a solid sixty seconds, the guests turned into paparazzi, snapping away like it was the cover of a celebrity magazine.
Kylee’s Dad, Lee, didn’t miss a beat, leaping up for a selfie with the newlyweds.
Then Matt, the groom, wasn’t about to let the opportunity slide – he whipped out his phone for the ultimate wedding party selfie.
I’ve got a little dude at home waiting for bedtime stories, so I only step up to MC a few times a year. But when I do, you better believe I’m all in, making sure it’s the party of the century!
Kylee + Matt’s I Do Crew got the same memo! These guys and gals didn’t just show up—they OWNED the whole scene. They choreographed a dance mashup so mind-blowing, it was like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The entrance was pure epic which set the tone for the whole night.
And oh, the speeches? They weren’t just speeches; they were like dynamite exploding all expectations. These besties didn’t just dip their toes in the water; they blew it out of the water! 🎤💥

Review from the Vanderheydens: for their Peppers Creek Chapel Wedding
“BEST CELEBRANT AND MC EVER!
We can’t thank Julie enough and will be raving about her for a long time to come.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Julie and I can confirm without a doubt that she created the romantic, emotional but fun ceremony that we said we wanted when we first enquired with her. What she delivered on the day at Peppers Creek Chapel & Barrell Room was the kind of perfect that feels beyond our wildest dreams.
Julie’s organisational skills and attention to detail are elite and so appreciated. Julie was effortlessly putting out fires with a ‘Plan B’ up her sleeve for any hiccup that might have come our way – and did it all in a way that ensured we either didn’t know about it or that we knew we didn’t need to worry about a thing because she had it all handled.
The way that Julie wrote the ceremony and introductions so perfectly just based on a questionnaire we filled out over a wine and things we had mentioned to her in conversation was sincerely incredible. She went above and beyond, was exactly our vibe, always on the same page as us and absolutely NAILED IT.“
