I had the pleasure of marrying Hannah + Charlie back in August 2020, so when they asked me to do their daughter Ella Rose’s baby naming at the Hunter Valley Gardens, I was over the moon. I’m officially their CELEBRANT FOR LIFE now!
It is not always possible for grandparents to get involved in their grandkids’ lives, but when they do, it’s a real treat. That’s why it was amazing to have Ella’s Aussie grandparents Sharon + Todd there PLUS Ella’s English Grandad Shaun who flew all the way from England just for the occasion ✈️ And not only that, but her Aunty Amy came too and got named as one of Ella’s godparents!
Unfortunately, the other godparent Drew couldn’t make it over, but that didn’t stop him from being a part of the event. He joined us via Facetime, even though it was the crack of dawn in England. Talk about dedication! He even made his godparent promises over Zoom.
Ella Rose was only three months old, which is pretty young for a baby naming, but hey, there are no hard and fast rules- it made sense to time it with the arrival of the UK family members.
And even though Ella is still just a tiny human, Hannah and Charlie were able to give me a tonne of great information to work with for the ceremony.
This lil cutie is a perfect blend of her parents. She’s got Charlie’s cheeky smile (aww) and of course, she’s got Hannah’s luscious red locks (jealous!). Ella is incredibly curious about the world around her. She studies everything with great intensity and learns quickly, but boy, does she get frustrated and cranky even faster! ?
Despite her occasional grumpiness, Ella Rose is an absolute sweetheart who loves a good snuggle. My son is only two, and I found myself completely clueless when it came to cradling baby Ella. Let’s just say, it’s a good thing babies are resilient because my hold was not exactly textbook?
I’m so glad I got to be a part of Ella-Rose’s Hunter Valley Baby Naming, and I can’t wait to see what kind of amazing person she grows up to be.
“Julie is an absolute angel! From the moment I enquired she knew exactly what I was looking for. She tailored our ceremony perfectly to us. She brings so much fun and warmth. We were so lucky to find her and have her support in the lead up to our wedding. She even helped us write our vows. Our day wouldn’t have been the same without her. I can not recommend her highly enough.“
