First Guest to Arrive at Block Eight Winery Wedding
The first guest to arrive at Kim & Charissa’s wedding at Block Eight Winery was Kim’s sister Clare. She had this fabulous handbag that brought a huge smile to my face. I like to think of it as fashion with a purpose. I can’t think of a better fashion statement to make.
Anticipation Growing
The best seats in the front row were nabbed by the careful placing of the handbags. Maybe the early-birds popped out to get a last minute drink or trip to the bathroom before we started. It reminds me of going to the theatre!
Not surprising really, seeing as all wedding ceremonies do have an element of performance to them.
And for the couple, it’s hard not to feel on stage when all the guests are looking at you.
I’ll be there, with my years of experience to keep you calm and deliver a great performance to your guests.
It was a privilege to be the celebrant for Kim & Charissa’s emotional, intimate and vibrant wedding. They surprised the guests by having a bagpiper announce their arrival at the ceremony. Their entrance was loud and proud. AMAZING.
Non-traditional Walk down the aisle
Why not turn tradition on it’s head and walk in to your ceremony together like Kim & Charissa? For an added twist, don’t walk down the aisle but enter facing your guests so you can see all their lovely reactions! Check out those expressions!!!

Head Tilts
Tilting the head to the side communicates that a person is interested in what they are seeing or listening to, and shows a playful and engaged attitude. I’m doing it subconsciously but I think this photo illustrates the genuine affection I have for the people I work with. … and my double chin ?
Ring Warming Ritual at Block Eight Winery
Incorporating a ring warming into your ceremony is such a special way to involve all of your guests in your wedding.
A ‘ring warming’ is when you give your loved ones the opportunity to hold and imbue your wedding bands with a well-wish for your future. It’s got a beautiful interactive element that guests love.
By the time the ring goes on your finger, it’s full of everyone’s love, support and wisdom for your marriage.
