I remember this wedding at Peppers Creek Chapel as one of those days where everything went right: I had the guests hanging off my every word, laughing at my jokes, and reaching for the tissues. Was it me? Or was it them? A bit of both.
When I tell people’s love story, I hope that my words will spring to life and hit people’s hearts, brains, and imaginations…..but every crowd is different, and I feed off the energy coming back to me.
Sarah + Steve wanted their ceremony to feel intimate despite having over one hundred guests, so my aim for this ceremony was to wrap the guests in a circle of warmth. I wanted it to feel like I was giving them a big hug. Sarah + Steve’s guests responded as I’d hoped.
These guests really opened themselves up to the experience and I could honestly sense that the telling of the couple’s love story was somehow strengthening the bonds between the couple and their family and friends. The guests reveled in the delight of learning a few things they didn’t know about the couple and there seemed to be a genuine appreciation that the couple allowed me to share so much of the inner workings of their relationship.
Their Peppers Creek Chapel wedding was magical.

“We were both so happy with Julie being the celebrant at our wedding at Peppers Creek Chapel. Julie took the time and effort to get to know us, understand what we wanted and guided/encouraged us to write our own vows – which we were glad that we did. She helped us feel completely at ease and created a very moving ceremony that smoothly transitioned between the serious and the lighthearted moments. Thanks Julie!“
