MY FAV JMFS WEDDINGS
#1 Madi & Jason – Mindaribba House, Tocal
Whenever couples tell me their florist is Jade Mcintosh, I get a huge smile on my face. I know instantly they are in good hands and their flowers at their Mindarriba House wedding are going to be just stunning! I respect Jade and her team very much – they are experienced, creative, and have incredible attention to detail.
This week I am going to be sharing some of the most memorable weddings I’ve worked with JMFS starting with one of my all-time favourites!.
Their colour palette was refined and timeless – blacks, whites, neutral tones, and soft greens. I usually like to wear brightly coloured dresses on the wedding day, but after finding out about these simple and classic floral hues, I knew a sleek, dark jumpsuit would work much better.
At the time, arch-shaped arbours were the norm for wedding ceremonies. For this gorgeous couple, however, JMFS created something totally unique with a huge WOW factor – a circular construction featuring concentrations of roses and bold magnolia and viburnum foliage.
The bridal party’s bouquets also included long-stemmed ivory and toffee-coloured blooms, which complemented their white dresses perfectly. These women and their modern elegance were serious #squadgoals.
Just before the couple recessed back down the aisle, I remember whispering to Madi that she shouldn’t be afraid to make her excitement known. She was finally going to be announced as Mrs. Weiley, and she showed just how happy this made her by punching her flowers in the air!
Their ceremony finished with one of the most stunning petal tosses I have ever seen too. White rose petals don’t just photograph well because they pop on camera – their fall rate always seems perfect for allowing the photographer time to get a great shot.

IT’S FRIDAY – LET’S GET THE PARTY STARTED!!
When one of my most innately stylish couples got married, I knew it was going to be a glamourous wedding.
“Go big or go home” was Madi & Jason’s motto.
Money can buy you nice things for your wedding but if you don’t have much natural style, then no amount of cash you throw around will make you look good.
It’s about paying no attention to seasonal trends. It’s about trusting your own judgment and creating your own look.
The truly stylish are comfortable in their own skin and they just know when something looks good without needing validation from others.
Madi wore a show-stopping couture dress. Their monochromatic colour scheme for the wedding party made a bold impact: the women were chic in white bridesmaid dresses holding classic white roses and the men were dapper in black tie suits.
I spy with my little ?️….. a celebrant in this photo.
I’m there dressed in black to match Madi & Jason’s classy theme for their Mindaribba House wedding, blending in and not sticking out. ?
I’m in between Jason and his best man Chris, not taking up much space. Doing my job. Standing out for the right reasons (my words) and not because I am centre stage. ?️
That leaves the photographer plenty of opportunities to capture stunning photos like this. ?
….and when I do have to come in between you both (which isn’t very often), I’ll make it my mission to use that prime position.
I’ll look straight at you and remind you of something you said to me a year ago in our planning meeting, and hopefully you
will throw your head back and laugh out loud just like the effervescent Madi.
And like a Mexican wave, the laughter will bubble up and spread to your partner, then ripple through the wedding party, leap to the parents in the front row, and then continue its trajectory all the way to the cheap seats at the back.
This Mindaribba House wedding is a testament that there are no boring ceremonies here. I promise. ??
